Model School Built for 4,000 Students

March 2026

Scholars Without Borders built a model school for the Ministry of Education in Gaza. The school has 15 classroom units and can serve 4,000 students a day, from primary level through general secondary. Total works cost approximately 210,000 US dollars.

A local contractor carried out the construction. Crews installed classrooms, administrative and teachers' rooms, a psychological support room and storage using steel profile and zinc panels. They fitted mobile restroom units for students and staff, a buffet area, water tanks, plumbing and drinking fountains, and a 2.5 meter perimeter fence for safety. Furniture went in too: student desks, whiteboards, administrative desks, chairs and storage cabinets.

The project reached 100 percent completion and the school is ready to receive students, made possible by the generosity of our donors.
